특수교육기관의 웹 접근성 구현 시 발생하는 문제점과 개선 방안

이 연구는 특수학교 및 특수학급이 설치된 일반학교에서 장애인의 정보접근권을 보장하기 위하여 갖추어야 하는 웹 접근성을 구현하는 과정에서 제기되는 문제점을 살펴보고, 그에 따른 개선 방안을 제시하는데 주요한 목적이 있다. 이에, 웹 접근성을 구현하고자 하는 25개 특수교육기관(특수학교 10개교, 특수학급 설치 일반학교 15개교)의 홈페이지에 대한 웹 접근성 사용자 평가를 실시하였다. 평가 도구로는 장애아동교육·복지연구학회에서 제정한 KEWAD 웹 접근성 사용자 평가 지침 2.0을 사용하였다. 평가는 자동평가와 장애인 사용자 입장에서 이루어지는 수동평가로 실시되었다. 수동평가는 시각장애 2인, 청각장애 2인, 웹 접근성 전문가 4인, 특수교육 전문가 2인 등 10인이 실시하였다. 특수교육기관의 홈페이지에서 웹 접근성을 구현하는 과정에서 발생하는 문제를 이해의 용이성과 인식의 용이성이란 측면에서 분석하였고, 그에 따른 대안을 웹 접근성을 구현할 수 있는 실제적 측면에서 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was investigated the problems and suggested the improvement of web accessibility of special school and general school with special class. We selected 10 web sites of special schools and 15 web sites of general schools with special class and evaluated web sites with KEWAD Web Accessibility Checklist 2.0. This study showed that there is an accessibility problems of school web sites in respect of the awareness and the understanding. In the results, It was a serious problem that there was not alternative texts in the respects of awareness and was not date table in the respects of understand. We suggested the methods to improve the web accessibility of school web sites.
