본 연구는 지적장애인의 사서보조 일자리 참여를 통해 지적장애 사서보조 고용과정의 특징과 사서보조 일자리 참여에 있어 지적장애인 당사자와 특수교사와 사서를 포함하는 주변인의 역할이 무엇인지를 이해하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구에는 지적장애 사서보조 3명과 이들의 특수교사 3명, 이들의 사서 3명이 참여하였으며, 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 영역분석을 통해 주제를 선정하였다. 연구 결과, 사서보조 지원의 이유와 고용과정에서 나타난 문제점에 대해 살펴보았으며, 지적장애 사서보조의 직업적 성공요인에 대한 사서보조 당사자의 자질과 능력 및 주변인의 역할에 대해 살펴보았다. 특히, 특수교사, 사서, 교직원 및 이용 학생, 교육청, 부모의 역할이 강조되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 지적장애 사서보조의 직업적 성공을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to understand the characteristics of employment process of people with intellectual disabilities as librarian assistants and the roles bystanders to support for the librarian assistants. Face-to-face interviews were implemented with three librarian assistants with intellectual disabilities, three special education teachers, and three librarians. In the results of the study, the reason of seeking a librarian assistant position and the problems of recruiting process of librarian assistants with intellectual disabilities were figured out. As well, the personal factors of people with intellectual disabilities and the roles of bystanders including special education teachers, librarians, school staffs and students, school districts, and parents were influential to sustain librarian assistants' work. These roles were figured out to influence for librarian assistants with intellectual disabilities to succeed in their vocation.
