포항 대련리 고분군 출토수하부이식의 편년과 특징

본고에서는 포항 대련리 고분군에서 출토된 수하부이식의 형태와 제작기법, 제작연대 등을 검토하였다. 이를 통해 신라이식 변화의 일면을 파악하고 이 이식들의 제작지와 이식을 부장한 대련리 고분군 축조 집단의 성격을 추론해 보았다. 분석 결과, 대련리 고분군 출토품은 신라이식의 범주에서 이해되며 5세기 후반에서 6세기 후반 사이에 제작된 것으로 파악하였다. 신라이식은 6세기 중반부터 그 형태와 제작기법이 간략화되는 것으로 이해되는데 대련리 고분군 출토품을 통해 그 과정의 일면을 확인하였다. 제작지는 5세기 후반에서 6세기 전반으로 편년되는 비교적 이른 시기의 것(Ⅰ·Ⅱ류)을 신라 중앙에서 제작된 것으로 보았다. 반면 6세기 전반에서 후반에 해당되는 비교적 늦은 시기의 것(Ⅲ·Ⅳ·Ⅴ류)은 자체 제작이 상정될 수 있으면서도 다양한 가능성이 고려될 필요가 있다고 보았다. 아울러 대련리 고분군에서 수하부이식의 부장이 늦은 시기까지 지속되는 현상은 고분군 축조 집단과 신라 중앙과의 밀접한 관계에 그 배경이 있는 것으로 이해하였다.
Abstract
This study examined the form, production technology, and manufacture dates of pendant earrings excavated from the Daeryeon-ri tombs in Pohang. Through this analysis, we sought to understand one aspect of the changes in Silla Earrings and infer the production sites and import routes of these Earrings. The analysis results indicate that the artifacts excavated from the Daeryeon-ri tombs can be understood within the category of Silla pendant earrings and were produced between the late 5th century and the late 6th century. The Silla earrings is understood to have undergone a simplification of its form and production techniques from the mid-6th century onwards, and the artifacts from the Daeryeon-ri tombs provide evidence of this process. The production sites of the artifacts dating to the late 5th century to the early 6th century are presumed to be located in the central region of Silla. On the other hand, those from the relatively late period spanning the first half to the latter half of the 6th century were considered to be potentially domestically produced, though various possibilities still needed to be taken into account. Additionally, the continued use of Pendant Earrings in the Daeryeong-ri tombs until a late period is understood to stem from the close relationship between the tomb complex construction group and the Silla central region.
