Inthepresentstudy,afocusgroupinterview wasconductedwithsixbreastcancerpatients.Theinterviewwasaboutthepatients'treatmentdecisions(e.g.,mastectomyorlumpectomy)and theircommunicationexperienceswithhealthprofessionalsduringthetreatmentprocesses.Theresultsshowedthatmostdecisionshadbeenmadebydoctors.Recently,somedoctorstransferchoicestopatientsbutdosowithoutdetailedinformation,whichleavespatientsataloss.Theparticipantsreportedtheirdissatisfactorycommunicationexperiencesinmanyrespects.A few satisfactorycommunicationexperienceswerereportedaswell.Theimplicationsoftheresultswerediscussed.
