An effective English teaching method in Korea

Teaching English as a foreign language is an important endeavor in Korean school. In recent years, there has been a growing sense that many teaching methods commonly employed in Korea do not effectively produce the adequate English proficiency in speaking and writing. Therefore, to find a better English method for Korean schools, this study examines a general historical perspective of foreign/second language teaching methods including the Communicative Approach and it also explains how the grammar is integrated into the Communicative Approach. Furthermore, this study makes some suggestions for the effective application of the Communicative Approach to Korean classes.
