The purpose of this study are (1) to identify the kinds of strategies Korean middle and high school students use to learn English, (2) to examine the relationships among six strategy categories identified, (3) to compare the use of strategies according to level of school, gender, and level of achievement, and (4) to investigate the effects of strategy use on English achievement.
