The first purpose of this study was to determine whether the caption-viewing strategy and research method suggested by Berkay(1994) could similarly influence the attitude of Korean students to caption-viewing. The second purpose of this study was to assess the reactions of students with limited listening proficiency to the low caption presentation rate(50-80 words a minute).
