The post-modernism has influenced and changed the modern society into pluralism society, its effect has shown in the fashion of which western centered pattern has changed into pluralism and eclecticism centered pattern. As the view pursuing various fashions has been supported by people, the freedom of expression for fashion has promoted the differentiation of fashion, various trends and new style has emerged crossing over their genres. Among this aspect, Vintage knit style is regarded as one of major trends by the influence of eco-friendly trend and retro fashion since 2000s. This study intends to research mainly with the image and expression technique of vintage style represented in knit fashion which can effectively express the Vintage look that takes up big portion of current trend. The result of study shows that the image of vintage style represented in the modern knit fashion is classified as grunge, retro, de-constructivism, street fashion and layered look. The expression technique is shown as hand knitting, unfinished edge, patchwork, miss, collage and fringing.
