초록
This paper aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis to explore the evolution of academic research concerning gender equality within the maritime industry, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5). Analyzing publications from 2003 to 2024 from the Web of Science and Scopus, the study identifies significant shifts in research volume and focus. The findings indicate an increased diversity and specificity in topics, with a transition from broad gender issues to more specific areas such as gender bias and women's roles in marine conservation. This shift suggests a growing scholarly focus on addressing gender disparities in a traditionally male- dominated field, emphasizing the need for evidence-based policies to advance gender equality effectively. These efforts contribute to broader global sustainability goals and equitable practices within the maritime industry.
