시니어 니트 팬츠 디자인을 위한 하반신 체형분석에 관한 연구 -제5차 한국인 신체치수조사 계측치를 중심으로-

The purpose of this study is to analyze the lower body type for older women, who are leading consumers of knit pants. The group studied is restricted to women over age 65 among the 5th data that Korea standard organization provides. The method of study is to extract distinct features of the lower body by using SPSS WIN 12.0. These are the results. First, height decreases with age. Changes in height are more common in the late 70s. Second, Waist Breadth I(Natural Indentation) and Waist Breadth(Omphalion) increase more in the 60s and 70s than in the ages of more than 80. Hip width does not change. Third, Waist Depth(Natural Indentation), Waist Depth (Omphalion), and Hip Depth does not change by age either. Fourth, Waist Circumference (Omphalion), Hip Circumference, Knee Circumference are more slender in their ages of more than 80 than 60s and 70s. Thigh Circumference and Calf Circumference become thicker according to the sequence of ages of more than 80, late 70s, early 70s, and 60s. And as they grow older, the length of leg becomes shorter. The result of this study may be useful in that it gives preliminary data for making fashion products for seniors. Later the market for them will grow and for this reason I hope studies on seniors will continue.
