한･일 주교교류에서 실현되는 연대의 동학: ‘연대’ 신학의 중범위이론을 위하여

초록

이 글은 형이상학적이고, 연역적이며, 목적론적 역사신학으로서 이해된 ‘교회’를 연구하는 것이 아니고 경험적이고, 역사적인 교회적 사실에 관한 연구다. 이 글은 20여 년 동안 이루어져 온 한･일 주교들의 연대가 갖는 교회론적 의미를 탐색한다. 주교들의 연대행위들은 복음화라는 의미를 구성하는 합목적적 행위로서 파악되며, 이러한 행위들은 복음화라는 목적하에 다양한 수준에서 확장성을 갖고 전개되었다. 확장성은 연대주체 간의 확장성과 연대대상(issues)의 확장성으로 나뉜다. 한･일 주교들은 양국을 넘어 동아시아 가톨릭교회(주교들)와의 연대를 궁극적 목적으로 설정하였고, 또한 수도자와 평신도 간의 포괄적 연대를 구상하였다. 사회성을 담지한 주교들의 연대행위는 시민사회적 에토스와 선택적 친화력을 갖는다. 이러한 연대의 동학은 세 가지 특징을 보인다. 첫째, 양국 사회의 구조적 변화를 위한 정치적 지향을 갖는 운동론적 성격을 띠고, 둘째, ‘가난한 사람’에 대한 애덕의 실천과 자원 활동으로 규정되는 복지론적 의미를 지닌다. 셋째, 이것은 사회를 복음화하기 위한 거시와 미시의 통합적 의미지향 행위로서 성사적 성격을 담지한다. 이 글은 주교들의 연대를 성사와 교회영성(형이상학, 이념)의 육화로 평가한다. 주교들의 연대는 지역 평화와 발전을 위한 사목적 소명이요, 연대가 가진 영성을 사회적인 것(the social)으로 드러내는 행위로 규정할 수 있다.

Abstract

This paper is not a study on the ‘Church’ understood as metaphysical, deductive, and teleological historical theology, but an empirical, historical study on the Church. Thus, it aims to call for a paradigm shift from ‘ecclesia’ to ‘the ecclesial.’ I have examined the ecclesiological meaning about the solidarity of Korean and Japanese Bishops over the past 20 years with this theoretical problem consciousness. The Bishops' solidarity activities are grasped as purposeful actions that constitute the meaning of evangelization, and they have been developed at various levels with extensibility for the purpose of evangelization. Extensibility is divided into solidarity subjects and solidarity issues. Korean-Japan Bishops set up solidarity with East Asian Catholic Churches beyond the two countries for the ultimate purpose, and also planed a comprehensive solidarity between religious and lay people. On the other hand, the extensibility of the solidarity issues that contains social interest, has civil-social ethos and selective affinity. The actions of solidarity of the bishops can also have three dimension. The first dimension carries a social movement with a political orientation for the structural change of the two countries, and the second dimension carries a social charity defined by the practice of virtue and the activity for the ‘poor.’ As the last dimension carries a sacramental actions. Solidarity actions for social order and development between two countries, could be regarded as sacramental event. The Bishops' solidarity can be expressed as the incarnation of Church sacrament and spirituality(metaphysics, ideology). The Bishops' solidarity can be defined as a purpose for the local peace and development, and the act of exposing the spirituality of the solidarity as the social.
