시노달리타스로 비춰본 교회 제도: 일치성·대표성·형평성과 교회 구성원의 자세

초록

교회의 시노달리타스 실현을 위해 다양한 방법을 적용할 수 있다. 여기서제도의 변화는 다양한 교회 공동체에 모험이 되기에 이를 최소화하면서 최대의 시노달리타스 효과를 얻는 방법을 찾는 것이 중요한 문제로 파악된다. 교회는 이미 제2차 바티칸 공의회에서 시노달리타스로 향하는 길을 열었고공의회 정신으로 입법된 교회법도 이러한 정신에 기초하고 있다. 그것은 본고에서 상정한 일치성, 대표성, 형평성이라는 주제를 어떻게 비추고 확대해나가는 가에 따라 영향을 받을 수 있다. 이 주제는 전 세계 13억이 넘는 가톨릭 신자들을 하나로 모으고 함께 구원을 향해 걸어가도록 보이지 않게 구조화하는 힘이기 때문이다. 일치성은 그리스도로부터 전달된 권력의 수직적구조와 단체성의 조화로 시노달리타스를 향하면서 구성원들을 하나로 모으는 객관성을 이룰 수 있다. 친교는 통치와 신앙 및 성사 안에 가톨릭 신자들을 살아 있는 유기체로 만든다. 여기에 카리스마의 다양성과 일치는 교회 구성원과 공동체들이 함께 걷도록 한다. 대표성은 교회 권위를 대리하는 이들을 통해서나 대등한 관계에서 대신하는 행위로도 표현되며, 민주적인 대표성을 통하여 특정인을 선출하여 이루어지기도 한다. 대표성은 권위와 구성원의 수직적 관계와 구성원 간의 수평적 관계가 시공간 속에 거대하지만 하나로 움직이게 하는 가장 적절한 방법으로 교회를 이끌고 있다. 기존 교회구조에 평신도들의 참여를 확대한다면 시노달리타스를 증진하는 이 대표성으로 유도할 수 있다. 형평성은 교회의 중요한 기초 가운데 하나로 교회 구조와 교회의 구성원 개개인에게까지 법 제도를 통한 평등 안에서 혹은 개인의 선택으로 생긴 차이들 안에서 공정한 신뢰를 유지하게 함으로 일치의 힘이 된다. 본 연구는 일치성, 대표성, 형평성 세 가지에 담겨있는 시노달리타스의 특성을 조명하고 이 특성으로 제도화된 규정들의 관계를 파악하면서교회가 시노달리타스를 이루는 길을 살펴보았다. 이러한 교회의 토대이며힘이 되는 자산을 교회 구성원들이 어떤 자세로 활용하는가에 따라 시노달리타스는 크게 좌우될 수 있기에 마지막으로 이에 관해 다루었다. 연구의 결실은 교회의 시노달리타스라는 이상을 제도의 변화라는 진통의 시간을 갖기이전에 교회 구성원에게 교육하고 홍보하여 시도해 봄 직한 최선의 방법으로 상정될 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

A variety of methods can be applied to realize synodalitas in the church. Here, institutional change is a risk for the various ecclesial communities, and finding ways to minimize the risks while achieving the maximum synodal impact is identified as an important issue. The Church has already opened the way to synodalitas with the Second Vatican Council and the canon law enacted in the spirit of the Council is based on this spirit. This is reflected in the themes of unity, representation, and equity envisioned in the study. These themes are also the invisible structures that bring together the more than 1.3 billion Catholics around the world and structure them to walk together toward salvation. Unity is the harmonization of the vertical structure of power and collegiality transmitted from Christ and the objectivity that brings members together as they move toward the Synodalitas. Communion makes Catholics a living organism in governance, faith, and sacraments. Here, the diversity and unity of charisms enables church members and communities to walk together. Representativeness leads the church in the most appropriate way to make the vertical relationship between authority and members and the horizontal relationship between members move as one even though they are enormous in time and space. Expanding the participation of lay people in existing church structures can lead to this representativeness that promotes synodality. Equity is one of the important foundations of the Church. Equity is a force that unites the whole church, whether through the legal system, by bringing equality to church structures and to individual members of the church, or by maintaining a fair trust in the differences that arise from individual choices. This study examined the path by which the church achieves synodality by illuminating the characteristics of synodality contained in the three characteristics of unity, representativeness, and equity, and understanding the relationship between institutionalized regulations based on these characteristics. Synodality can be greatly influenced by how church members utilize these assets, which are the foundation and strength of the church, so we discussed this last. The results of the study can be considered as the best way to educate and promote the ideal of synodality in the church to church members before the throes of institutional change.
