Abstract

By looking at the performativity strategy presented and Ironic Aspect in A Study on the Rehabilitation(2013) composed and performed by Yoon Hansol(and Greenpig) this paper reveals that it creates the possibility for the audience to form a transideological discourse. A transideological discourse refers to the discourse in which the delivery of a single meaning is avoided by irony, and that occurs in various ways depending on the context by the receiver and sender. The performativity strategy of the play, as a strategy to actively induce performance by audience, is to urge interaction and joint performance between actors and audiences, thus it is merged with the ironic effect. By paying attention to that effect, it is possible to avoid the complete formation of a single semantic network or a uniform ideology, and rather it reveals the possibility that audiences create a transideological discourse on the contradictions of the National Security Law and the judicial system. The work of examining the strategy with its the ironic effect is the work of deciphering the unique aesthetic form of the performance, and it is to look at how the aesthetic experience provided by the performance is connected with the political experience.
