본 연구는 IB PYP 프레임워크를 적용한 인공지능 교육 프로그램의 필요성을 분석하고 구체적인 프로그램을 제안한다. 이를 위해 2022 교육과정과 IB PYP 프레임워크를 비교 분석하고, IB PYP 학교 교사들을 대상으로 요구분석을 실시하였다. 요구분석 결과, 교사들은 인공지능 교육과 융합된 IB PYP 프로그램의 도입 필요성을 높게 인식했다. 제안된 프로그램은 학생들이 데이터 편향성을 이해하고 인공지능 원리를 바탕으로 코딩할 수 있 는 능력을 함양하며, 데이터 분석과 인공지능 알고리즘 설계를 포함한다. 또한, 사회 이슈를 활용한 교육 프로그 램을 제안하여 IB PYP 기반 인공지능 교육 프로그램이 한국 교육과정에 도입되어 학생들의 디지털 역량과 창 의적 사고를 함양하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the necessity of an AI education program applied with the IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) framework and proposes a specific program. To achieve this, the study compares the 2022 curriculum with the IB PYP framework and conducts a needs analysis with teachers from IB PYP schools. The needs analy- sis results indicate that teachers highly recognize the necessity of introducing an AI education program integrated with the IB PYP framework. The proposed program aims to equip students with the ability to understand data bias and code using AI principles, including data analysis and AI algorithm design. Additionally, the program lev- erages social issues to create a practical educational setting. This integration of an IB PYP-based AI education program into the Korean curriculum is expected to enhance students' digital competencies and creative thinking.
