Abstract
This study examines how ASEAN countries have successfully resolved and managed their maritime disputes through peaceful means from the organization's inception to the present day. 'Resolution' refers to instances where disputes were fully settled through agreements or arbitration by international judicial bodies. And 'management' involves cases where, despite not reaching a complete resolution, provisional agreements and mechanisms for conflict prevention were established. A recurring theme across these cases is the emphasis on dialogue and compromise, where the parties prioritized political goodwill and concessions over pursuing their full legal rights. This approach highlights the embedded norms of the TAC and the ASEAN Way in the dispute resolution process, offering a another perspective on maritime disputes and ASEAN's role. Additionally, the study proposes potential strategies for addressing unresolved maritime boundaries.
