내러티브에 기반한 교육과정 리더십 모형 개발의 예비적 탐색

단위학교가 학교교육과정 중심으로 운영되며 학생들에게 양질의 학습경험을 제시하기 위해서는 교사들의 교육과정 리더십이 중요한 요인이다. 그러나 지금까지 교육과정 리더십은 학교장을 중심으로 연구되었으며, 교육과정 운영의 핵심적인 주체인 교사들은 소외되고 배제되었다. 이에 본 연구는 현행 교육과정 리더십의 문제점과 한계점을 지적하며, 이에 대한 해결책으로 내러티브에 기반한 교사들의 교육과정 리더십 모형을 제시하였다. 학교교육과정은 계획, 개발, 실행, 평가의 단계를 거치는데, 이러한 과정에서 내러티브적 사고 양식을 반영하는 대화, 이야기하기, 반성적 실천이 활용된다면 교사들의 리더십도 실현될 것이다. 내러티브에 기반한 교육과정 리더십 모형은 학교장 중심의 하향식 전달과 점검 위주로 실시되었던 교육과정 운영에서 벗어나 일반교사들의 전문성을 실현하도록 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to seek the curriculum leadership model based on narrative. The school-based curriculum is heavily influenced by the leadership of school’s principal, and the teachers are excluded. But the school-based curriculum should make its members participate to curriculum’s planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. For this purpose, influenced factors for curriculum leadership and narrative’s educational values were studied. As the model of curriculum leadership, this research proposes the curriculum leadership model based on narrative. The curriculum leadership matched with this new approach, the teacher’s life and experience has to be reinforced by communication and dialogue between school members. And the model’s process steps are cyclical and interactive than linearly and unilateral. The possibility of generalizing the narrative based curriculum leadership is relatively high. The curriculum leadership model based on narrative is considered to be very important to enhance the quality of school-based curriculum. And, if the school’s teachers is to recognized as a curriculum leadership, that will contribute to improving the quality of school-based curriculum.
