Abstract

As an important part of Eastern culture and world culture, Confucianism not only dominates its origin, the direction of development of Chinese culture, but also develops further in East Asia, Korea and Japan. This article seeks to explore the influence and development prospects of Confucianism on the contemporary East Asian society, thereby promoting the modern transformation and innovation of Confucianism, and to understand the position and role of Confucianism in the diverse and complementary patterns of modern world civilization. Discussion of the future development prospects of East Asian Confucianism and the relationship between Confucian humanism and modern society aims to discover the development of human society in the new century and the immutability of Confucianism. This article states that Confucianism in the modern era must actively participate in the modernization process and globalization movement, and face new challenges. The negative elements of Confucianism do not need to be maintained, and the strengths and positive aspects of Confucianism must be fully transmitted. Maintaining the humanism and moral rationality of Confucianism can contribute to preventing the deterioration of human morality and further destruction of the ecological environment, and in this respect, it is meaningful to study Asian Confucianism.
