목회자로서 사회봉사를 모범적으로 실천한 대표적인 목회자로 손꼽히는 한경직의 삶과 사역에 나타난 그의 사회봉사 사상을 정리해보았다. 그의 사회봉사 실천은 사회복지 활동이기도 하고 복음전파이기도 하다. 한경직에게 있어서는 목회와 사회복지활동은 분리될 수 없으며, 나라를 향한 그의 사랑이 교회와 사회, 국가와 하나님 나라가 통합될 수 있는 교회의 사회봉사 구조를 형성하게 했다. 그리고 먼저 개인이 복음으로 충만하면 사회봉사가 실천된다고 보는 내연이외연의 사회봉사 구조를 보여주었다. 복음적 신앙에 기초한 사회봉사 실천 원리는 전문적인 사회복지 실천 원리의 핵심을 대부분 포함하고 있으며, 그의 사회봉사는 임시방편의 원조 활동이 아닌 항상 근본적인 변화를 지향한다. 그의 사회봉사 가치와 원리 등은 사회복지 전문 영역의 실천방법들과 충분히 결합되고 보완될 수 있는 가능성을 보여주고 있다.
Abstract
This study focuses on finding out the social welfare thoughts of Kyung-Chik Han who had practiced social welfare satisfactorily through his church. and offer the desirable example of church social welfare. His practicing in church social welfare belongs to social welfare and to missionary work. Han perceived that there must be the separation between pastoral works and activities of social welfare. and his affection for his homeland made the system of church social welfare which integrate church, society, nation and God's kingdom. He showed the church social welfare system that an external-combustion is an internal-combustion. This system means that if there was filled with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and then social welfare activities overflowed the whole world. His principles of church social welfare based on the Gospel include that of a professional social welfare practice and seek after not a temporary makeshift but a fundamental change and improvement. And also his the value and the principles of church social welfare can be applied to the methods of professional social welfare.
