Abstract

Abstract Title: The Reverend Dr. Han, Kyung Jik and Mission Lee, Byung Soo kosin University Korean Church today is an earthen vessel confronted with a variety of problems. Some Scholars see shamanizing Christianity as a threat to the Korean Church. Others look upon faith without work as detriment to her. Still others consider her to be in danger to the denial of biblical inerrancy and verbal inspiration. On the whole, however, Christian leaders regard the decline of the pastoral leadership as the most dangerous menace to the Korean Church. In this unusual situation of Korean Church, many Christian leaders pray for renewal. And they look for biblical teaching about the biblical evangelism and church growth. The significance of the biblical evangelism and church growth for the Korean church has been the considerable concern with regard to decline of the Korean church neumerical growth. In retrospect of the rapid growth of Korean church, many Christian leader think that they have missed the ideal leader of Korean Church, the Reverend Dr Han, Kyung Jik and his church. As most Korean have admitted, Pastor Han was a good model of many ministers. In the same was, the Young-Rak Church, which Pastor Han had ministered his church during more than 35years, was the model of Korean church in quality and quantity of most churches in Korea. When the decline of Korean churches in quantity is apparent, we need to research the leadership of the Reverend Dr Han, Kyung Jik and his evangelistic enthusiasm, resulting in church growth. The author have found that Pastor has the vision of the evangelization of the Koreans. To accomplish the vision, he made a several good strategies: His Pastoral leadership priority was the evangelism to unreached people, especially to northern people who escaped to find freedom from communism. He was interested in the evangelization of the Army, students and workers. His vision for world mision was expanded by the growth of Young Rak church. Thus we nee to study and follow his spiritual and pastoral passion for the holistic evangelism. According to Pastor Han, mission is not only salvation of the soul, but also is the holicstic work with understanding of cosmic scope of salvation which Jesus Christ worked out.
