Abstract

It cannot be ignored any longer that the Korean Christian and their churches have damaged their identity as followers of Jesus Christ and his community by ill guided religious practises and believes, because all to often they have not overcome their blind striving for success in academic fields. Therefore they misunderstand God as an instrument for achieving success in the own interest. Consequently they applaud the triumphed resurrected Jesus Christ rather than Jesus Christ suffering on the cross. Those believers looking mainly for success ignore Jesus suffering on the cross. They are only guided by their own ambition and thus a views the gift of Holy Spirit given to them. This view of faith is result divided theology which is a kind of academic arrogance trying to be superior by all means. The result is an splitting of mankind into superiors and inferiors. This view thus not establish a church which is the true community in the succession and imitation of Jesus Christ. In order to found a true community we must try to overcome fragmentation of theology and faith. This article attempts reflexion on the fundamental principles of a christian community in connection with the disabled under a diaconical theological aspect, in order to reconstruct the real church as demanded by Jesus Christ. The theology of diaconia is an integrated practical theology which establishes the true community by means of serving others. The present divided theology looking only for worldly success can only be overcome by diaconical theology, because the shortcoming theology is mainly based on exclusive and can only be corrected by diaconical theology. The diaconical theology concentrated on God as the helpless crucified serving God. The cross is the place where God's Justice took place and where suffering and helpless people can be consoled and comforted. The many kinds of helpless people are revived through God's Justice. By being justified and reconciled with God disabled and not disabled people are good and whole creatures. Therefore not-disabled and the disabled must lean on God's benevolent mercy. The man justified by God do service together unified and gifted by the Holy Spirit. This spiritual view establish by the diaconical theology lead faith to a state of completed faith which thus not excludes the weakest but includes them. The belief bearing witness to the crucified and resurrected Jesus founds the diaconical work for all believers who console and help each other. with humility. Therefore the churches and the believers must find again the real christian Gospel together with the handicapped. God rejects those human beings who deny the weakest. The church that is only spirit can only exist meaningfully as a diaconical community. A diaconical community accepts all kinds of people and integrates all people by mutual help. Now the community of Christ must accept the disabled as equal members of the body of christ and recognize them as subject of mutual help. The salutary community as successor of Jesus Christ is a diaconical community that can integrate old and young, ill and healthy, handicapped and not handicapped . If the disabled are isolated from worship of the church, the church is a disabled and unhealthy church. The church providing salvation together with the disabled can achieve at last the diaconical work for the disabled. In the future the korean churches as Jesus Christ's true community must progress towards completion with the help of diaconical theology, thus outgrowing a theology only striving for worldly success.
