초록

본 연구의 목적은 초연결성(hyper-connectivity)과 초지능화(super-intelligence)를 특징으로 하는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 변화하는 현실을 살아가는 디지털 네이티브(digital natives) 세대에 적합한 리더십을 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 코터(John P. Kotter)는 그 속도를 예측하기 힘들만큼의 변화에 따라 기존의 공동체를 다시 만들거나 새롭게 변화시켜 나가는 전체의 과정을 리더십이라고 정의 한다. 이 연구의 목적은 기독교 리더십의 관점에서, 4차 산업혁명 시대의 혁신과 융합의 도전 속에서 교회가 디지털 네이티브 세대를 맞아들이기 위해서 준비해야 할 기독교 리더십이 무엇인지를 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 다시 말해서 한국교회의 기성세대들이 디지털 네이티브 세대를 마주하며 함께 새로운 미래시대를 동행하기 위해서 준비하고 갖추어야 할 리더십이 무엇인지를 연구하고자 한다. 먼저, 본 연구는 초연결과 초지능으로 특징지어지는 4차 산업혁명의 특징과 이 시대가 필요로하는 인재상을 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 디지털 네이티브 세대의 특징과 그들의 영적인 필요성을 연구할 것이다. 그리고 마지막으로 디지털 네이티브(digital natives)를 위한 플랫폼(platform) 리더십을 찾아볼 것이다. 그 리더십은 정체성을 찾아서 오고가는 혁신(converted)의 리더십, 소통이 활발하게 일어나는 연결(connected)의 리더십, 감정까지 다독여주는 협동(collaborative)의 리더십이다. 본 연구가 4차 산업혁명 시대의 디지털 네이티브 세대에 대한 이해를 통합적으로 살펴봄으로써 한국교회가 디지털 네이티브라고 불리우는 세대와 함께 새로운 미래로 도약할 수 있는 기회를 놓치지 않고 함께 나아갈 수 있기를 기대한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to research the kind of leadership essential for the upcoming generation, digital natives, who are characterized by hyper connectivity and super intelligence in its transition to the 4th Industrial Revolution. John P. Kotter defines leadership as the process of forming or reforming an organization or system according to rapidly changing environments. The purpose of this study is to seek out models of biblical leadership that will allow the church to adjust to the innovation and challenge of the oncoming 4th Industrial Revolution for the digital native generation. In other words, the current generation of the Korean church must find a model of leadership that will effectively accommodate to the upcoming digital native generation, and such is the focus of this study. First, this research will delve into the specific human resources and talent necessary for the 4th Industrial Revolution. Moreover, it will research the characteristics and spiritual needs of digital natives. Finally, this study will seek out platform leadership for digital natives. Said leadership includes converted, connected, and collaborative leadership. This study is expected to help prepare the Korean church, and ultimately Christianity, in integrally understanding the digital generation in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
