본 연구의 목적은 교회 공동체의 건강한 회복을 위해 놀이목회상담의 이론과 실제를 연구하여 사역에 적용할 수 있도록 돕는데 있다. 인류는 태어난 순간부터 주양육자와 행복한 놀이를 시작한다. 우리는 아동기, 청소년기, 청년기, 중년기, 노년기에 이르기까지 부모 또는 주양육자, 형제자매, 친구, 연인, 배우자, 자녀, 타인들과 놀이를 이어가면서 신체 발달, 인지발달, 사회성 발달을 이루어 간다. 놀이는 외부의 요구가 아닌 내적 동기에 의해 즐겁고 자유롭게 이루어져야만 한다. 이러한 놀이 과정을 통해 인류는 일과 사랑을 건강하게 병행할 수 있으며, 자신의 삶을 질적으로 풍요롭게 누릴 수 있게 된다. 그러나 인간의 전인 건강을 위해서는 신체 발달과 인지발달, 사회성 발달보다 하나님께서 불어 넣어 주신 생령을 지닌 존재로써 영적인 발달을 제대로 이루어야 한다. 이와 관련하여 놀이는 자기와 자기 자신, 자기와 타인, 자기와 하나님의 관계 맺음까지 즐겁고 자유롭게 연결하여 전인적인 발달을 지속시켜 주는 장점이 있다. “네 하나님 여호와께서 택하신 곳에서 너는 이레 동안 네 하나님 여호와 앞에서 절기를 지키고 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 모든 소출과 네 손으로 행한 모든 일에 복 주실 것이니 너는 온전히 즐거워할지니라”(신 16:15) 이 말씀에서처럼 하나님은 우리가 그분이 택하신 곳에서 복을 누리며 온전히 즐거워하기를 원하셨다. 그러나 오늘날 많은 신앙인들은 분주한 삶 속에서 본인이 누려야 할 축복인 즐거운 놀이를 잃어가고 있다. 특히 놀이를 통해 성장하며 치유 받아야 할 각 개인이 즐겁게 신앙생활을 경험하고 있지 못하고 있는 것이 요즘 교회 공동체의 실정이다. 따라서 본 고에서는 놀이목회상담에 대한 이론 연구의 토대로 놀이 신학, 대상관계 심리학, 신 표상과 가들리 플레이(Godly Play)를 연결하여 고찰한 후 놀이의 즐거움과 전인적인 치유, 회복적 특징을 온전히 실천하고 있는 교회들의 놀이목회상담 적용 사례들을 소개하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to study the theory and practice of play pastoral counseling for the healthy recovery of the church community and help it be applied directly to the ministry. Humankind, from the moment of birth, begins to engage in cheerful play with the primary caregivers. And through childhood, adolescence, middle age to old age, we continue to play with parents or primary caregivers, siblings, friends, lovers, spouses, children, and others as attaining to certain stages of development - physical, cognitive, and social. Play should be enjoyable and free, driven not by external demands, but by intrinsic motives. Play has the advantage of connecting joyfully and freely towards the establishment of relationships between one and one’s self, one and others, one and God, in continuation of holistic development. Through this process of playing, humankind can balance work and love in a healthy manner, and enjoy each one’s life abundantly and qualitatively. Yet in terms of holistic health for a human being, spiritual development is more important than any other kinds of development - physical, cognitive, and social. It is because humankind can sustain life on the earth only as a spiritual being into which God breathed the breath of life. “For seven days celebrate the festival to the Lord your God at the place the Lord will choose. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. (Deuteronomy 16:15, NIV)” As described in this verse, God wanted us to be deeply blessed and fully delighted in the place He had chosen. Today, however, in the midst of busyness of life, many believers are losing their enjoyable play, a true blessing they should enjoy. In particular, it is the current situation of today’s church communities that each individual, who needs to be healed and grow holistically through play, is failing to happily experience a life of faith. Therefore, this study, towards further study of play pastoral counseling that can fully materialize the holistic enjoyment, healing, and restorative characteristics of play, aims to propose practical theological measures of play pastoral counseling by examining object relationship psychology and the God’s image in connection with the theology of play and godly play.
