우리나라의 구릉지, 산록면 그리고 단구 고위면상에는 적색토가 넓게 발달하고있다. 본 연구는 남한강의 상류인 충청북도 미원천 유역의 하천단구 퇴적층을 모재로 발달한 토양의 특성을 밟히는데 있다. 조사토양인 본 적색토는 A1-B1t-B2t-C층으로 되어 있으며 점토질이다. B층은 점토피막있는 점토집적층이다. 고위면에 발달한 본 적색토는 제4기의 간빙기의 오늘날보다 더 온난한 생물-기후상태하에서 탈규산화 및 용탈작용에 의하여 생성된 고적새토이며 표층(A층)의 갈색토는 오늘날에 생성되고 있는 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
In South Korean Penisula, Red soils are wide-spred on the rolling to hilly and gentle slope surfaces andPleistocene higher terraces where geomorphic surfaces are used as farming land and settlement area. The purpose of thisstudy is to clarify the soil characteristics developing on the fluvial terrrace deposits in Miwoncheon, North ChungbukProvence, Korea. The red soil are made on heavy texture and has A1-B1t-B2t-C horizons. In most cases, clayaccumulation in B horizon and clay cutans or concretions on ped are observed, which means the formation of argillichorizon. Red soil of fluvial higher terrace are considerded to be kind of paleo-red soils which had developed by strongdesilication and strong leaching of bases under warmer bio-climatic conditions of the past probably in some interglacialage during Pleistocene. The other being “brownish soil”of top horizon is developing under present bio-climaticenvironment of region.
