한국판 어머니ㆍ아버지 역할 신념 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구

초록

본 연구의 목적은 영유아기 자녀를 양육하는 부모를 대상으로 자녀양육에 있어 부모의 역할에 대한보수적이거나 진보적인 가치관을 반영하는 개인의 생각이나 믿음을 확인하기 위한 어머니·아버지 역할신념 척도를 한국의 실정에 맞게 개발하고 타당화 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 Bonney와 Kelley가 1996년에 개발한 Beliefs Concerning the Parental Role Scale(BCPR)를 번안한 뒤, 11쌍의 부모를 대상으로 실시한 인터뷰 자료와 전문가 논의를 바탕으로 한국의 문화에 적합하도록 문항을 수정 및 보완하여 한국판 어머니·아버지 역할 신념 척도의 예비문항을 완성하였다. 학령전기 자녀를 둔 부모 200명을 대상으로예비조사를 실시하였으며, 문항분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 통하여 최종 문항을 도출하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 한국판 어머니·아버지 역할 신념 척도는 ‘남녀역할의 구분’, ‘양육자-어머니 신념’, ‘아버지 양육의 중요성’, ‘생계부양자-아버지 신념’의 4개의 하위요인으로 구성된 것으로 나타났다. 본검사는 학령전기 자녀를 둔 부모 302명(남자 157명, 여자 145명)을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 신뢰도 분석과 구인타당도및 공인타당도 검증을 통하여 개발된 척도가 신뢰롭고 타당한 도구임을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 한국판어머니·아버지 역할 신념 척도 개발의 의의와 제한점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the Korean version of the Maternal․Paternal Role Belief Scale which means personal thoughts and beliefs that reflect the conservative or liberal values about the parental role. To develop and modify the Korean version of the Maternal․Paternal Role Belief Scale, Beliefs Concerning the Parental Role Scale(BCPR) developed by Bonney and Kelly(1996) was translated, and 11 married couples with children under age 6 were interviewed in depth. Based on the previous studies and in-depth interview, preliminary items were identified. Through the preliminary test, the 15 items of the scale were selected and 302 parents samples(male 157, female 145) were administered and collected data were used to analysis. The result of this study as follow: The internal reliability consistency between items were resonable. To confirm criterion-related validity and construct validity of the final scale, the correlation analysis and factor analysis were conducted. Through the result of exploratory factor analysis, the scale shown that consists of four sub factors. As the result of the confirmatory factor analysis, goodness of the Korean model which consisted of four sub factors was proved as favorable. The implications and limitations of the present study and suggestions for the future researches were discussed.
