아버지가 인식한 부모역할신념과 어머니 문지기 역할이 아버지 양육참여도에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 사회 인구학적 변인, 아버지의 부모역할신념, 어머니 문지기 역할이 아버지 양육참여도에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 서울‧경기 지역과 인천, 부산 등 6개 도시에 거주하는 만 3세∼5세 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 278명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사도구로 한국판 부모역할신념 척도와 한국판 어머니 문지기 역할 척도, ‘유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 생산적인 아버지노릇’ 척도를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지의 주당 근무시간과 월 평균 가계 총수입에 따라 아버지의 양육참여도는 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 아버지의 부모역할신념과 어머니의 문 열기는 아버지 양육참여도와 유의미한 정적 상관관계를, 어머니의 문 닫기는 부적 상관관계를 이루었다. 셋째, 아버지의 부모역할신념과 어머니의 문 열기는 아버지 양육참여도에 유의미한 정적 영향력이 있었고 어머니의 문 열기가 영향력이 더 높았다. 본 연구는 아버지의 부모역할신념과 어머니 문지기 역할 연구의 기초자료로서 아버지의 요구에 부응하고 어머니와의 상호작용을 포함한 부모교육 프로그램의 필요성과 방향성을 제시하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to search how the social demographic variable, parental role belief of father, and maternal gatekeeping influence on father’s child-rearing involvement. The total of 278 fathers with 3 to 5 years old child in 6 cities were subject of this study. The Korean parental role, the Korean maternal gatekeeping scale and the generative fathering scale had were used to measure each variable. Following is the main result of this study. First, the father’s weekly duty hour and monthly average total incomes showed meaningful difference to the father’s child-rearing involvement. Second, gate-opening formed significant positive correlation and gate-closing formed negative correlation with father’s child-rearing involvement. Third, parental role belief of father and maternal gate-opening showed significant positive effect on father’s child-rearing involvement, and maternal gate-opening had greater effect that parental role belief of father. The result of study contributes to the study of parental role belief of father and maternal gatekeeping, which lacked precedent studies, as a base data.
