한국판 아버지 자기효능감 척도의 타당화 연구

Validation of the Korean Version of Fathering Self-Efficacy Scale

초록

본 연구의 목적은 Sevigny와 Loutzenhiser(2016)이 개발한 아버지 자기효능감 척도를 한국어로 번안 및 타당화 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 유아기 및 아동기 자녀를 둔 아버지 562명을 대상으로 설문이 이루어졌으며 그 중 설문에 끝까지 응답하지 않은 63명의 자료를 제외한 총 499명을 대상으로 구인타당도 및 공인타당도를 검증하였다. 구인타당도는 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 통해 확인하였고 공준타당도는 일반적 자기효능감 척도, 부모 효능감 척도, 한국판 CES-D척도, 양육 스트레스 척도 및 아버지 양육행동 척도와의 상관분석을 통해 확인하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 한국판 아버지 자기효능감 척도는 긍정적 참여 8문항, 직접적 돌봄 6문항, 경제적 책임 6문항, 안전 돌봄 2문항의 총 20문항으로 원척도와는 다르게 4요인으로 구성되었고 신뢰도는 .91로 나타났다. 둘째, 한국판 아버지 자기효능감 척도는 일반적 자기효능감 척도 및 부모 효능감 척도와는 정적상관, 한국판 CES-D 척도와는 부적상관을 보여 수렴 및 변별 타당도를 충족하였다. 셋째 한국판 아버지 자기효능감 척도는 한국판 CES-D 척도 및 양육 스트레스 척도와는 부적상관, 아버지 양육행동 척도와는 정적상관을 보여 공준 타당도가 있음을 확인하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점, 후속연구의 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to adapt and validate a Korean version of the Fathering Self-Efficacy Scale (Sevigny & Loutzenhiser, 2016). Data from 499 Korean fathers of infancy and childhood were used to verify construct and concurrent validity. Construct validity was verified using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, and concurrent validity was verified using correlation analysis with the General Self-Efficacy scale (GSE), Parenting Sense of Competence scale (PSOC), Parenting Daily Hassles scale (PDH), and Parenting Behavior Scale (PBS). The resulting Korean Fathering Self-Efficacy Scale (K-FSES) consists of 8 positive participation items, 6 direct nurturing items, 6 economic items, and 2 safety items. In contrast to the original scale, the K-FSES has a 4 factor structure, with reliability of .91. The K-FSES correlated positively with GSE and PSOC, and negatively with the Korean version of CES-D, demonstrating convergent and discriminant validity. The K-FSES correlated negatively with the Korean version of the CES-D and PDH, and positively with PBS, demonstrating concurrent validity. Implications, limitations and directions for future research are discussed.
