유아의 자기효능감과 정서조절능력이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 유아의 자기효능감과 정서조절이 또래 유능성에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 유아의 또래유능성을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 부산시 및 경남지역에소재한 유치원 및 어린이집 유아 301명이다. 연구결과 유아의 자기효능감은 또래유능성과 유의미한 상관을 보였으며 특히 자기 효능감의 하위 변인인 사회정서적 효능감이 또래유능성과 가장 높은 상관이 있었다. 또한 유아의 정서조절능력과 또래 유능성과의 상관을 살펴본 결과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 정서조절이 높을수록 또래유능성도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 자기효능감과 정서조절 역시 유의미한 정적 상관이 보고되었는데 유아의 자기효능감이 높을수록 자신의 정서를 조절하고 다른 사람의 감정을 이해하는 적응적 정서조절 행동이 높았으며, 분노유발 및 공격적 상황에서 자신의 부정적 정서를 적절하게 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 유아의 또래유능성에 영향을 미치는 가장 영향력 있는 변인은 자기효능감의 하위 변인인 사회정서적 변인으로 설명력이 60%로 가장 높게 나타났다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of preschooler’ self-efficacy and emotionregulation on their peer competence. The subjects of this study were 301 young children aged 3to 5 and their 23 teachers of kindergartens and child care centers in Busan and Kyungnamprovince. Data were analyzed by correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS14.0 program. The results of the study as follows. First, young children’s self-efficacy and emotionregulation were positively related to young children’s peer competence. Second, sub-variables ofself-efficacy accounted for 60% of total scores on peer competence of young children. Finally, theimplication for child guidance and research limitation were discussed.
