초록
The Jinju castle, located on the Nam river, was the battlefield that underwent the war in the end of the 16th century, and Chokseokru, which was the command post of Jinju castle, are the typical landscape of Jinju city. Jinju Castle benefits from the characteristics of natural topography and its geomorphological location is unique. Concretely, there is a rock wall on the south side a rocky cliff on the west side, and a pond and an artificial moat on the north side. The purpose of this study is to investigate geomorphological feature of the location of Jinju castle. This work is to describe and interpret geomorphological characteristics and environment in terms of both morphostructural and hydrological aspects. The hill, where Jinju castle is located, is a meander core made by stream piracy, and the CBD area of Jinju city is located on the flood plains of abandoned channel. The geomorphological lineaments are well recognized in the vertical rocky cliffs along the Nam River. It is presumed that a pond on the north side and an artificial moat on the north side were made by abandoned channel.

The purpose of this study is to investigate geomorphological feature of the location of Jinju castle. This work is to describe and interpret geomorphological characteristics and environment in terms of both morphostructural and hydrological aspects. The geomorphological lineaments are well recognized in the vertical rocky cliffs along the Nam River. It is presumed that a pond on the north side and an artificial moat on the north side were made by abandoned channel.
