한문소설사 서술의 제문제 - 한문학에서의 한문소설, 그 사적 전망 -

Abstract

This study is an observation of some points of the settings of Chinese Novel and its historical composition in Korean-Chinese Literature. Although the position of Chinese Novel in Chinese Literature is not certain, referring to the writings of Confucian intellectuals, it was an important field which combined Chinese Poetry and Prose. Thus, the History of Chinese Novel should be composed considering the authors and the changes of their worldview in the level of Chinese Literature. On this account, the discussion of the History of Korean-Chinese Novel should start from <Choi Chi Won(崔致遠)>. To surmise the trend is as follows. In early and mid terms of Joseon, Jeon-gi(傳奇) and Mongyurok(夢遊錄) were developed as to improving the Sagyecheng’s sense of identity. From the beginning of the 17th century, the divergence of Early Jeon-gi Novel and Late Joseon Korean Novel arose. Despite of the writing methods - Korean and Chines-both were the results of the reflection of the intellectuals’ inresests. Yadam(野談) started to perform as the Late- Joseon Chinese Short Story afterwards, creating a dual composition with Korean Novel. Novel of Manners in 19th century showed skillful form by the time changes and the lowered author groups. This is a problematic figure in composing the History of Chinese Novel. <Unyeong-jeon(雲英傳)> is a crucial factor in the composition of the writer and the History of Chinese Novel. It is also an important figure of critical sense and the characteristic and yet still the writer is unknown. Discussions of the possibilities that the writer could be Heo- Kyun(許筠) are included in this study. To support the idea, I compared the piece with Heo-Kyun’s other novels in the matter of some materials as wandering in forests(仙趣) and resentment(怨情), the composition and the aim of the novel. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean that that author of the novel is confirmed yet. I hope that the study could be a meaningful turning point in writing the History of Chinese Novel and that more lively discussions would follow later on.
