Abstract
In the generative grammar, EPP has been investigated by many linguists as Chomsky (1995, 1998a, b), Picallo (1998), Alexiadou & Anagnostopoulou (1998)...etc. However, due to recent works, it is necessary to study the constructions of inversion (DP predicative) in Spanish. This paper's goal is to suggest a revised analysis of the constructions of predicates. In this paper, we suggest that the copular SER ("be") in Spanish is derived from lexicon with the feature EPP and that "pro" is considered as a predicate in the small clause (of the constructions of inversion in Spanish). In relation this view, we propose that the constructions of inversion must be distinguished from the other constructions in Spanish.
