Abstract

This article tracked the daily and scholarly life of DaeSan KimMaeSun, looked through the eyes of LeeHunMyung as the disciple of him, during the time he had been living in YongSan. In 1806, DaeSan dissmissed from official duties because of the delict of his cousin KimDalsun, Moreover, In 1817, he had got involved in the Umsa case of KimKiSeo, suffered a lot of hardships. These things had been resulted in his scrupulous character and generous personality. He didn't talk to much and didn't act rashly, futhermore didn't tolerate even a small mistake to himself. also he had been badly off because of he had helped poor people much but he had been warm-hearted whole times. DaeSan had kept trying to get a son from a prostitute after his only daughter died an unnatural death and adopting SunGun. He had shown the strict obsession over his own flesh and blood. Since his hope broken, he put in a great deal of effort to educate his son SunGun. So he even held ChungGumRuSiSa and invited LeeSukJang and LeeHunMyung as the teacher of his son. Also DaeSan He was a man of integrity who would never cater to those in SeDoJungKwon. And he stick to the critical posture on selection of fit persons and abusing power of government. While he criticized irregularities and evil effects of SeDoJungKwon with writing satirical poet, in addition, finding the solution of social problems with writing 「ChikookDaeKyungSipChaek」 This was the repay JeongJo for his special affection and favor of his own. LeeHunMyung, as the disciple of DaeSan KimMaeSun, had written the thing what he had seen from daily life and social intercourse to scholarly life and writing on the 『SeoYeonMunKyunRok』. Based on this, can reveal the another aspect of DaeSan that has been undiscovered.
