일본어 オ단장음의 변천과정에 관해서 -일본어 전사자료를 통한 재해석-

Abstract

This paper proposes a new process of the change of o-row long vowels in Japanese in the analysis of Korean-Materials in the 15-18th centuries. O-row long vowel [o:] in current Japanese is derived from the sound change of vowel sequences, a-u, o-u, e-u, o-(h)o. The process of the change of o-row long vowels assumed in this paper is different from those of Hashimoto and Kawakami. The merger of a-u and o-u into [ou] was occurred in the 15th century and then the merger of [ou] and o-o into [o:] was occurred in the 18th century. The process is as follows.
