The Subject and Theta Role of Adjective Phrase Sentence

Abstract
This paper argues that the previous theta roles which were decided on the basis of verb phrase sentence can't apply to the theta role of the subject of adjectives phrase sentence comprehensively, so examines the subject and theta role of adjective phrase sentence from a new and various point of view. Therefore, besides the experiencer which is known as the theta role of the subject of psychological and sensory adjectives, we suggest a new theta role, possessor as the subject of the rest of adjectives except psychological and sensory adjectives. Also, we variously examine the characteristics of the subject in order to approach the subject of adjective phrase sentence more profoundly and examine the experiencer and possessor in detail which are the theta role of the subject of adjective phrase sentence and are comparable to the theta role of the subject of verb phrase sentence. These series of examination especially keep an eye on the topic, theta role and subject which are the interface of semantics and syntax.
