초록

This paper offers a formal analysis of imposters in Korean, a certain type of 3rd person DPs that refer to speakers or addresses. I compare basic properties of English imposters with parallel expressions of imposters in Korean, and show that they are considerably distinguished from each other by a number of syntactic properties. I will argue that imposters in Korean form a structure of a DP whose syntactic heads consist of notional pronouns that are coreferential with imposters, and, as such, they determine the structure of imposters in Korean that bear 1st or 2nd person features. I will also propose that imposters in Korean integrate the projection of a Speech Act in the left periphery of their structure.
