Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the growth characteristics of marine organisms on aluminum alloy, antifouling paint, urushiol, and anodizing specimens sealed in boiling water under the conditions of a marine immersion test. Thereafter, flow rate tests were carried out in natural seawater. The immersion tests revealed that the marine organisms reproduced on all specimens except the antifouling paint and that their reproduction on the aluminum alloy and urushiol specimens was accompanied by corrosion damage. Furthermore, the attached marine organisms were effectively removed during the flow rate test.
