국내 학술지의 경력 연구 동향

이 연구는 입직 이후의 경력에 관한 지금까지의 국내 학술지의 연구 동향을 살펴봄으로써 향후 경력 연구의 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 2014년 4월까지 한국교육학술정보원의 국내학술지논문 검색서비스에서 제목과 주제어에 ‘경력’이 포함된 연구물 중 목적에 적합한 논문 526편을 대상으로 학술지의 기반학문분야, 중심주제, 연구대상, 연구방법, 관련변인을 분석하였다. 자료 분석에 이용된 통계방법은 빈도와 백분율이다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론과 시사점을 얻었다. 첫째, 경력 연구는 1980년대 이후 지속적으로 증가하여 왔으며, 사회과학 뿐 아니라 복합학, 의약학, 예술체육 분야의 학술지에도 논문이 증가했다. 이는 경력에 대한 관심이 점점 높아지고 있으며, 다양한 학문분야에 접목되는 중요한 개념임을 시사한다. 둘째, 연구의 중심주제 측면에서 경력개발과 경력태도와 관련한 내용이 많았으며 분야별로 주로 나타나는 주제들이 달랐다. 이는 경력 연구가 관점은 다르지만 개입을 통해 개인과 조직에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것에 관심을 가지고 있음을 뜻한다. 셋째, 연구대상 측면에서는 전문직, 관리자 등 화이트칼라와 전문서비스직 등 새롭게 경력이슈가 제기되고 있는 직업에 집중되고 있어, 점점 복잡해지고 조화가 중시되는 사회에서 다양한 집단의 경력에 관심이 필요하다. 넷째, 연구방법 측면에서는 양적 상관연구가 많이 이루어졌지만 다른 여러 방법도 사용되고 있어, 시간상의 복합적 데이터인 경력을 이해하기 위한 시도가 많이 이루어져 왔으며 앞으로도 지속적인 노력이 필요하다. 다섯째, 관련변인 측면에서는 경력관련 변수는 종속변인에 많이 사용되었으며 경력몰입, 이직의도, 경력성공 등이 관심을 받고 있어서, 경력 변인이 일과 관련하여 조직과 개인의 유효성을 설명하는 개념으로 많이 활용되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과에 따른 향후 제언이 제시되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to examine research trends and topics in career research of Korea, and to get some implications for the progress of career research of Korea. After searching articles which used the word of 'career' in their title or keyword, we selected 526 articles suitable for our research purpose, and analyzed their academic fields of journals, main research topics, and research objectives, methods, variables. The data were summarized using frequencies and percentages. The results and implications of this study were as follows: First, researches of career have increased after 1980's, and they increased academic journals of complex study, medical and pharmacy science, art and sports fields. This imlicates academic interests on career is getting larger and career is important concept that connected various study fields. Second, in respect of main topic of reseach, contents on career development and career attitude got large portion and main topic was varied by academic fields they based. That means while career researches have varied viewpoints, they basically have interest in doing proper intervention. Third, in respect of object of career research, career of white colours and professional service employees which were recently brought up new career issues were intensively focused. So research interests on more diverse group of career are needed so that we meet the balance on research. Forth, in respect of method, quantitive relational method was most frequently used but many other methods were used at the same time. That means various methods were attempted to understand complicate career data by the time, and more try is needed. Fifth, in respect of variables. variables related career were used usually on depended variable, so that implicates that career variables are used to explain of organizational and personal effectiveness. And a proposal for next research was suggested.
