이 연구의 목적은 기술과 교사의 직무수행정도를 구명하고, 이와 관련된 변인들과의 관계를 구명하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 모집단은 2005년 9월 현재 전국의 중학교 및 고등학교에 근무하는 모든 기술과 교사이며, 체계적 무선 표집 방법에 따라 1,051명의 기술과 교사를 표본으로 선정하였다. 자료수집은 2005년 9월 5일부터 16일까지 우편조사를 통하여 이루어졌고, 최종분석에는 회수된 자료 중 불성실 응답을 제외하고 566부가 활용되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 우리나라 기술과 교사의 직무수행정도는 비교적 높은 편이며, 특히 교수학습지도, 실습지도 및 실습실 운영, 학생생활지도, 행정업무수행, 전문성 신장, 학급 경영의 하위 직무영역 가운데 학급 경영에 관한 직무수행정도가 가장 높다. 또한, 기술과 교사의 직무수행은 직무 중요성보다 상대적으로 낮으며, 특히 직무 가운데 교수학습지도에 대한 직무수행이 중요성에 비해 상대적으로 가장 낮다. 둘째, 기술과 교사의 직무수행은 현직연수 이수, 학교급, 학교 설립유형, 직무 중요성, 학교풍토의 협의적 리더십, 교사 전문행위, 개인적 교수효능감과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.셋째, 기술과 교사의 직무수행 관련 변인 중 직무 중요성, 개인적 교수효능감, 학교풍토의 교사 전문행위, 학교급은 직무수행의 50.2%를 설명하고 있으며, 관련 변인 중 직무 중요성이 기술과 교사의 직무수행을 가장 잘 설명하고 있다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to measure the job performance level of technology education teachers, and to determine the relationship between job performance and its related variables. The population was technology education teachers in middle schools and high schools. Using a systematic sampling technique, 1,051 teachers were sampled for this study. The questionnaire was sent by mail. six hundred thirty nine out of 1,051 questionnaires were returned, of which 566 were used for analysis after eliminating incomplete responses. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. An alpha level of 0.05 was established a priori for determining significance. Major findings of this study were as follows: 1) Job performance level of technology education teachers was 3.65, which was moderately high. In the domains of job, class management domain was the highest. 2) Seven related variables were found to be a significant relationship with job performance of technology education teachers. They were Receiving in-service education, school level, school type, job importance, collegial leadership, professional teacher behavior, personal teaching efficacy. 3) After multiple regression analysis, the proportion of the variance in job performance of technology education teachers was about 50.2%. Job performance was most explained by job importance.
