초록

This paper measures the effects on Korean workers' interests of Korea's trade with the United States and with China. For this purpose, the industry characteristics of exports to and imports from the United States and China were compared and real job creation effects calculated. The result of this investigation shows that the magnitude of the job creation effect was larger in trade with the United States than with China, and that workers in low wage level industries were hurt by imports from China. In conclusion, trade with the United States brings more economic gains to the working class of Korea than trade with China.
