Abstract

A study on the relationship between the science-giftedstudents thinking style and the school achievementNa, Dong-Jin* and Kim, Jin-Cheol**Jeon buk National University school Department of Education professor*Jeon buk National University school Department of Education Ph.D course**This study was designed to recognize the revealing tendency of thinking styles in theKorean Science High School students, and to investigate if there is a thinking style concernedwith school work achievement as well as if there is any difference in a thinking style betweenthe grade and sex. Korean Science High School students showed more preference to thelegislative and liberal but less to the conservative. That is to say, they preferred the Type Ⅰthinking style mentioned by Zhang(2001).In the difference between the grade and sex, there is no difference except executive,internal, and conservative thinking style. In the sense of the sex, there is a difference in theexecutive, monarchic, oligarchic, and anarchic thinking style. This result has some partlydifferences to the former studies.
