본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 방과 후 특기․적성 교육 활동에 대한 교사 및 학부모의 인식과 요구를 파악하고 특기․적성 교육 활동의 활성화를 위한 향후 과제를 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위해 특기․적성 교육의 개념, 발전 과정 및 선행 연구를 간략히 개관하고, 초등학교 교사(322명) 및 학부모(780명)를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 향후 초등학교 방과 후 특기․적성 교육 활동이 활성화되기 위해서는 ‘학교 내외의 인적 자원을 효율적으로 가동할 수 있는 인프라의 구축’, ‘다양한 프로그램의 개설 및 프로그램의 운영 방식의 다양화’, ‘교과 관련 특기․적성 교육 프로그램 운영의 내실화’, ‘특기․적성 교육프로그램에 대한 지속적인 질 관리’, ‘특기․적성 교육 활동을 위한 사전 시스템 구축’ 등이 요청된다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study are as follows; 1) to survey the current status & need of after-school activities. (teachers & parents of the elementary school) 2) to suggest the hereafter tasks for the revitalization of after-school activities in elementary schools. In this study, we survey the current status and need of after-school activities in elementary school. As a results of this study, we propose the hereafter tasks to revitalize after-school activities in elementary school such as these; 1) infra construction which can operate efficiently human resources in and out of school is required. 2) various programs need to be implemented by selection & concentration. 3) general subjects-related programs need to be implemented efficiently. 4) the contents & quality of various programs need to be monitored consistently. 5) previous preparation & infra construction which diagnosis & prescribe the talents & aptitudes of the student are required.
