1930년대 가내공업의 지역적 변동

Abstract

This paper analyzes the regional changes of household industry in the 1930s by using Shift-share Analysis, which is based on collecting and organizing the research materials for household industry in the 1930s. According to analytical results, I find out each region was experienced fluctuations during the social change process. That was resulted in the efforts to supplement with household income and that is a process of response to the market demands. I herein find out the diminishment of production unit(per household) on developed regions, and then in the late 1930s, the developed region accompanied by decreasing production unit was already experienced adjustment of grocery industry in the early 1930s. It means that household industry could achieve economies of scale and some industry areas could changed over mainly to production of commodity through accomplish economies of scale. Adversely, it suggests the household industry could not maintain growth through extensional development. However there seemed to be a high probability which Kyung-gi and the north industrial areas could already progressed the factory industry in the before 1930s, even though these areas was depressed.
