하이데거의 존재론은 그 자체로 교육에 한 심층인 문제의식을 보여주고 있다. 본 논문 은 교육내용의 성격에 한 하이데거 존재론의 을 밝히는 데 목이 있으며, 이를 해서 는 무엇보다 그의 ‘지향성’ 개념을 명료하게 악할 필요가 있다는 에 착안하다. 하이데거 는 서양의 근 인식론과 후설의 상학에서 발견되는 ‘지향성’ 개념의 특징을 주체-상의 이 원론으로 규정하고, 그것의 기원을 고 라톤 철학에서 찾고 있다. 하이데거의 존재론의 핵 심 개념 가운데 하나인 ‘세계-내-존재’ 는 ‘존재’는 일차으로 이 같이 왜곡된 지향성 개념을 바로잡기 한 것이지만, 동시에 그것에는 주체-상 간의 이원론 거리로 말미암아 래되는 인간 사고의 험성을 경계하고 그것에 안을 마련하기 한 문제의식이 내포되어 있다. 본래 의미에서의 지향성 개념에 입각해 볼 때, 엄한 의미에서의 사고는 ‘존재’와 계 하며 차라리 존재와 계되는 것만이 ‘사고’라는 이름으로 불릴 수 있다. 그리하여 교육은 인간 의 사고를 기르는 활동이라고 볼 때, 하이데거의 존재론은 ‘존재 망각의 교육’과 ‘존재 사고의 교육’이라는 두 가지 립되는 교육의 양상을 제시한다고 할 수 있다. 하이데거의 교육론은 우 리에게 우리가 이 두 가지 교육 간의 정면충돌이 일어나고 있는 문명사으로 차한 시기 를 살고 있음을 일깨워주고 있다. 하이데거의 교육론은 ‘역량’, ‘성과’, ‘효율성’ 등의 이름으로 교육을 계량화하려는 이 시의 퇴폐 교육에 한 엄한 경고이며, 그것의 안 교육을 한 노력이 우리의 삶에서 구체으로 어떻게 이루어질 수 있는가를 보여주고 있다.
Abstract
Heidegger’s ontology entails a very heightened awareness of education, particularly with regard to the contents of education. What is pivotal in Heidegger’s educational insight is his attempt to challenge and rethink the Husserlian conception of ‘intentionality’, which he believes is based upon the subject-object dualism. Heidegger’s celebrated terms such as ‘being-in-the-world’ and ‘Dasein’ are advanced as the best antidote to the dualistic tradition of intentionality which harbors an objectifying mode of thinking. In contrast to this mode of thinking oblivious to being, thinking proper is the thinking in which the caring relation of humans to being is accomplished. Considering that the central task of education is to promote thinking, this contrast implies two modes of education, which can be dubbed ‘being-forgetful education’ and ‘being-thinking education.’ This age is the critical time of the history of civilization when there occurs a head-on collision between these opposing modes of education. Heidegger’s educational theory warns against the degenerate popular educational culture in which education is readily measured in the language of ‘competency’, ‘performance’, and ‘efficiency’, and, by doing so, it also illuminates the ways in which humans retrieve and preserve ‘being-thinking education.’
