교육주체의 심리학적 실체를 표상하는 개념인 자아의 구성이 개체 내재적으로 그리고 존재 독립적으로 성립되는 것이 아니라, 오히려 외부적 기원과 타자에의 발생에 절대적으로 의존하고 있다는 거울단계 이론은 다양한 교육의 과제와 관계, 그리고 활동들을 교육주체에 대한 새로운 분석 속에서 어떻게 재구성해야 할지에 대하여 고민하게 만든다. 또한 우리 정신적 삶의 지평으로부터 지금껏 교육 외적인 것으로 간주되어온 다양한 교육적 현상들에 대한 평가 및 처우를 어떻게 개선하고 대체해야 할지에 대한 심각한 반성으로 우리를 인도한다. 이것은 교육의 기본 전제와 규범적 틀을 전면적으로 재편해야 함을 역설하는 의식 이면의 목소리이고 교육의 무의식을 사건화하고 현상의 흐름 속에서 실체화하는 계기이다. 본고는 이와 같은 정신분석에 근거한 교육철학적 주장을 신화적 표상들과 Lacan의 분석적 논의들을 빌어 ‘욕망의 교육론’이라고 명명하였다. 교육에서 더욱 강력한 힘을 발휘하는 일반적인 통념에서처럼, 절제되어야 하고 도덕적인 제어장치에 의해 통제되어야 할 부정적 속성으로서의 욕망이 아니라, 오히려 억압되지 않아야 비로소 성취 가능한 윤리의 기초명제로서의 욕망이 이 교육론의 핵심가치를 구성한다. 그리고 무의식적 욕망의 가시적 사건으로서의 거울 저 너머에 있는 타자를 향한 원초적 관계분석은 발달적 교육론의 다양한 주제들과 교육 그 자체의 발생에 대한 본격적인 정신분석적 논의를 실제적으로 가능하게 해주는 유일한 통로로서 기능한다. 더욱이 의식의 제한된 지면 위에 가설된 인공의 발달이론이 아니라, 무의식의 광활한 대지가 발생시킨 자연의 발달이론이기에 그 잠재된 교육분석적 함의가 더욱 역동적이며 무한하다고 기대되어지는 것이다.
Abstract
The mirror stage theory shows that the construction of self which represents the psychological entity of the educational subject is not made in the individual independently, rather is dependent in the external origin and the genesis from the Other absolutely. This revolutionary theory makes us worry how the tasks, the relations, and the activities of education should be reconstructed in the new analysis about the educational subject. Furthermore, that also guides us to the severe reflection how the evaluations and treatments for the various extra-educational phenomena should be improved and alternated. This is the unconscious voice which insists the whole reorganization of the basic conditions of education and the critical moment which makes the unconsciousness of education as an event in the process of phenomena. This study named these educational arguments of psychoanalysis as the ‘educational theory of desire’ in the ground of the mythological representation and analytic explanation of Lacan. Desire is not the negative attribution which is controlled by the moral device, but the ethical proposition which is achieved without the moral repression. And the desire constructs the main values of education. In this context, the original relation analysis to the Other beyond the mirror as a visible accident of the unconscious desire operates the only pathway which makes the psychoanalytic discussion for the genesis of the education itself and the development of the unconsciousness. As the understanding on the abnormality is more proximal to the truth of human being, the education theory of desire is the process of self-realization of education which wants to show the everything of the education itself without addition and subtraction.
