음성미디어인 향가를 통해서 본 신라교육 연구

이 연구는 신라의 대표적인 음성미디어인 향가(鄕歌)를 통해서 신라교육을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 음성미디어인 향가의 탄생과 유통과정을 고찰하였으며, 향가미디어가 구체적으로 신라인의 인성 형성에 어떤 영향을 끼쳤는가에 대하여 살펴보았다. 음성미디어로서의 향가는 신라인의 정서를 시(詩)와 송(頌)이라는 운율의 형식으로 표현된 노래미디어로서 신라의 전 계층에 의해 생산되어지고 유통되면서 향유되었다. 또한, 창작 계층의 신분계층에 따라서 창작의 형식이 달랐음을 알 수 있었다. 이처럼 향가는 그 자체의 고유한 특성을 지닌 음성미디어로서 그 당시 신라인들이 그들의 실존적 고민을 극복하고 이상을 염원하고자 하는 지각 방식에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 또한 그들의 예술적 감수성과 인성 형성에 기여한 교육미디어의 역할을 담당하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study Silla education through HyangGa which is the representative voice media in the period of Silla. Hence, this study investigated the birth of HyangGa, its distribution process, and its concrete influence on the formation of human nature in the Silla era. HyangGa as voice media which expressed emotion of people in Silla with the rhythmical forms such as ‘poem’ and ‘eulogy(頌)’ was composed, distributed, and enjoyed by people of every class of Silla. Creative forms were also different according to the difference in social status of creators. Thus, HyangGa as characteristic voice media had affirmatively affected the ways of perceiving that people of Silla had overcome their existential agony and had desired the ideal. It had played roles as education media contributing to their artistic sensitivity and humanity formation as well.
