마르크스에 대한 교육학적 독해는 그의 텍스트가 생산된 맥락을 고려하면서 ‘교육적 문제설정’이 발견되는지를 검토하는 방식으로 이루어질 수 있다. 본 연구는 1839년 말부터 1844년 초 사이에 생산된 초기 마르크스의 텍스트에 대한 교육학적 독해의 시도이다. 박사학위논문 시기의 마르크스는 스스로에 의해 스스로 실현되는 ‘프로메테우스적 철학’을 제시하면서, 철학자 이외의 인간적 존재를 필요로 하지 않는 방식의 사회변혁, 즉 철학이 세계화되고 세계가 철학화되는 것을 추구했다. 이 시기 마르크스에게 교육적 문제설정은 존재하지 않거나 깊이 잠재되어 있다. 마르크스 박사는 불가피하게 대학에서의 일자리를 포기하고 언론인이 되었다. 현실의 구체적 인간을 바라보아야 했던 편집장 마르크스는 철학적 언론의 교육적 역할을 중시했다. 교육적 문제설정이 등장하고 기존의 청년헤겔주의적 문제설정과 결합된 것이다. 언론을 떠난 이후에 독일 혁명을 보편적 인간해방으로 이끌 ‘심장’으로서 프롤레타리아를 발견한 마르크스는, 프롤레타리아를 교육하는 인간해방의 ‘머리’로서 철학을 상정한다. 마르크스가 공산주의를 본격적으로 수용하던 이 시기에 이르러, 우리는 해방을 위한 교육적 철학을 제시하는 ‘프롤레타리아의 교육자’ 마르크스를 만나게 된다.
Abstract
The pedagogical reading of Marx can be done by examining whether “educational problematic” is found while considering the context in which his texts were produced. This study attempts to pedagogically read Marx’s early texts, produced between late 1839 and early 1844. During the period of his doctoral dissertation, Marx proposed a “Promethean philosophy” that is realized by itself, and pursued a social transformation that does not require human beings other than philosophers. That is, philosophy becomes the world, and the world becomes philosophy. During this period, educational problematic did not exist or was deeply latent for Marx. Dr. Marx inevitably abandoned his job at the university and became a journalist. Forced to examine concrete human beings in the real world, Marx, as an editor, came to value the educational role of the philosophical press. In other words, educational problematic emerged and combined with the existing Young Hegelian problematic. After leaving the press, Marx, who discovered the proletariat as the “heart” that would lead the German revolution to universal human emancipation, assumed philosophy as the “head” of the emancipation that educates the proletariat. By the time Marx fully embraced communism, we meet Marx as “an educator of the proletariat,” who presented an educational philosophy for emancipation.
