포털사이트 아트로고의 문화콘텐츠 표현 연구 -한국의 명절을 중심으로-

한국의 명절은 한국을 대표할 수 있는 문화 콘텐츠이다. 명절 문화에는 그 나라의 언어 및 정서, 풍속, 민족성, 풍습 등이 반영되어 있다. 이에 본 연구는 포털 싸이트 구글(Google)과 네이버(Naver)의 아트로고 표현을 통하여 문화콘텐츠를 시각적 표현으로 분석하였다. 연구의 범위는 2009년부터 2016년까지의 한국의 대표 명절인 설날과 추석을 중심으로 범위를 한정하였다. 문헌조사를 실시하여 설날과 추석에 관한 음식, 옷, 풍속, 문화 등의 문화콘텐츠 요소를 도출하였다. 문헌조사에 나온 기초자료를 토대로 전문가집단의 인터뷰법으로 문화콘텐츠의 이미지를 해석하였다. 해석된 문화 콘텐츠의 이미지로 도출된 콘셉트는 ‘고유성, 현대성, 상징성, 친숙성, 유희성’ 등의 시각적 표현인자 5가지이다. 도출된 5가지 시각적 표현방법을 검증하기 위해 포털 싸이트 네이버와 구글의 아트로고를 2009년부터 2016년까지를 연도별로 나누어 시각적 표현을 5점 척도로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 전체적으로 아트로고는 상징성을 높게 갖고 있었다. 네이버 아트로고의 특징은 유희성과 친숙성이 많이 나타났고, 현대적으로 해석하여 다양한 문화콘텐츠 요소를 콘셉트화하여 스토리텔링하고 있었다. 구글의 아트로고는 상징성과 고유성을 갖추면서 전통적인 문화콘텐츠를 구글 로고에 직접적으로 표현하는 특징을 갖고 있었다. 본 연구를 토대로 아트로고를 제작하려는 디자이너들에게 콘셉트 설정 시 문화콘텐츠의 도출과 해석 등의 시각적 표현에 가이드라인이 되었으면 한다.
Abstract
Korean traditional holiday is a cultural contents that can represent Korea. The holiday culture reflects the language, emotion, customs, ethnicity and customs of the country. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the visual expression of cultural contents through the expression of logo art of portal site Google and Naver. The scope of the study is limited to a range around the Korea representative holidays New Year's Day and Korean Thanksgiving Day from 2009 to 2016. Through literature review, cultural contents elements such as food, clothes, customs, and culture related to New Year’s Day and Korean Thanksgiving Day were derived. after that Based on the basic data from the literature survey, the image of the cultural contents was interpreted by the interview method of the expert group. The concept derived from the image of interpreted cultural contents has five visual expression factors such as ‘uniqueness, modernity, symbolism, familiarity, playfulness’. In order to verify the five visual expressions derived, the portal site Naver and Google's art logo were analyzed by using a 5-point scale for each year from 2009 to 2016. As a result, Most art logo have high symbolism. The characteristics of Naver art logo are amusement and familiarity, and It was a modern interpretation and storytelling by conceptualization of various cultural contents elements. Google's art logo has featured a signature culture that directly expresses traditional cultural content with Google logo. Based on this study, I hope designers who want to make art logo should be guided in the visual expression of derivation and interpretation of cultural contents when setting the concept.
