자폐성향을 보이는 발달지체아동의 상호주의하기 훈련 효과

초록

자폐성장애아동은 상호주의하기에 어려움을 가진다. 상호주의하기는 언어 및 사회성 발달의 전조로 그리고 발달에 있어 핵심 기술로 여겨지고 있다. 본 연구는 자폐성향을 보이는 발달지체아동을 대상으로 상호주의하기를 훈련하여 그 효과를 알아보고자 한다. 6명의 자폐성 장애아동이 본 연구에 참여하였으며, 이들은 두 집단(상, 하)으로 구분되었다. 대상자간 중다기초선 설계를 사용하였으며, 선별검사, 사전평가, 기초선, 중재, 사후평가 순으로 진행되었다. 상호주의하기 평가(상호작용 평가, 관찰, 구조화된 평가)가 사전 및 사후평가로써 중재 전과 후에 실시되었다. 연구결과에 의하면, 아동 모두 상호주의하기 훈련을 통해 행동의 향상을 나타낸 반면, 상호주의하기 평가는 아동에 따라 다른 결과를 나타냈다. 또한 상집단 아동들은 상호주의하기 반응 행동과 시작 행동 모두에서 비교적 큰 향상을 나타낸 반면, 하집단 아동들은 상호주의하기 시작 행동을 거의 나타내지 않았고 향상의 정도도 작았다. 본 연구의 제한점과 시사점이 논의에 제시되었다.

Abstract

Children with autism have difficulties in joint attention. Joint attention is thought to precursor of social development and language development, and pivotal skill in development. This study aims to examine effects of joint attention training on developmental delayed preschooler with autistic features. Six children participate in this study, dividing with two group(higher level group, lower level group). This study uses multiple baseline design across participants, sequencing screening test, pretest, baseline, intervention, posttest. Joint attention tests(interaction test, observation, structured test) are administrated as pretest and posttest before and after intervention. Results suggest that all participants but one improve behaviors throughout joint attention training, while joint attention tests represent different results across children. Also, higher level group represents relatively large improvement in both joint attention response behaviors and initiation behaviors, while lower level group represents a little joint attention initiation behaviors and relatively small improvement. This study' limitations and implications are discussed.
