발달장애아 가족의 아동교육프로그램 만족도 결정요인과 교육정책에 대한 제언

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and assessment of the child education and day care center, and to identify the determinants of the satisfaction with child education program for the families with developmental disability children. A questionnaire was designed to collect information on the satisfaction with education and day care program for children and other related variables. It was mailed to 862 randomly selected families with developmental disability children attending education and day care center. Descriptive analysis indicated that more than half of the parents were satisfied with parent education programs provided by the center, but one-fifth of the parents were dissatisfied with the program due to the fact that the content of the parent programs was difficult to understand and some of the contents was not wanted by the parents. Regression analysis showed that the satisfaction with child education program for the families with developmental disability children was likely to vary depending on the way of organizing classes as well as of cooperating with teachers, and satisfaction with parent education programs. Based on the findings of this study, policy implications and suggestions for the education of developmental disability children are provided.
