초록

This article is a cross-cultural qualitative study of educators in selected inclusive education classrooms in South Korea and the United States. It examines how educators view the construction of learning by students labeled with autism and students who are not classified as disabled while interacting with them in inclusive classrooms. The teachers’ interpretations of how they construct their own learning are similar in some ways but differ in others. The study is based on interviews with educators who have experience with students labeled with autism in inclusive classrooms at preschool and elementary levels in both countries. Many of the Korean teachers interviewed and Most of the American teachers viewed all students construct their own learning while interacting one another by observing and engaging one another.
