초록

This study examined the difference of individuals' CA between Koreans and U.S. Americans and compared their CA difference between intracultural interaction and intercultural interaction. By using McCroskey's PRCA-24 scale, this study investigated cross-cultural differences between Koreans and U.S. Americans in four generalized-context CA. The findings of this study showed that; first, each culture has different characteristics involving the rank of four generalized context CA; second, across interaction situations Koreans have much more CA than U.S. Americans; third, across four generalized-contexts Koreans' CA in intercultural interaction were far larger than that of intracultural interaction. The implications and limitations of this study and suggestions for future CA studies were discussed.
